Evening of the Arts Post Card

My original idea for this project was to have the pictures look like a staircase going from the right to the left of the postcard. As i worked on it, i changed my idea because i found that i couldn’t fit everything on the postcard in a way that it wouldn’t look too busy. I think the end result turned out how i wanted it to. I like how simple, but colorful it turned out.

  1. I think this is a pretty awesome post card, and I like how the blocks of color all touch and have words in each one. Maybe the block colors could be less like Easter colors, though. But overall, I like the postcard mucho.

  2. This postcard is wonderful! I love the colors that you used and everything is so organized. No suggestion, everything is perfect. 🙂

  3. Reblogged this on artwitholiveri and commented:

Stop by the new Digital Art: Media class blog and see the postcard designs for Evening of the Arts (March 7th, 2013). The class has been hard at work creating, sharing, and critiquing their pieces in the blog. It has been an eye-opening experience for me to have student sharing their work digitally and collaborating on a platform like wordpress. I am really looking forward to the possibilities that this has opened up for us as a class!

  4. I really like how you used the squares. I think it makes the design stronger and the colors also help it pop out. The colors really blend together to give it that smooth look. And making the text white was also a nice touch. Awesome job!

  5. I love all of the different colors and i love the font that you used. Its very organized and pretty. No suggestions
